Best Case of 2020 According to Style Italiano Endodontics

It is with great joy and honor that we share the recognition we received for one of the cases treated at our Endodontic Office. Initially, the case was selected from thousands of submissions and ranked among the top 50 best cases of 2020 at the largest Endodontic Forum, Style Italiano Endodontics. Furthermore, the highly prestigious second place worldwide for the best case was awarded to Endodontist Agapi Zervaki.

We are filled with joy and strength, ready to face new challenges. Our goal is to tackle and treat even the most complex cases!

A few words about this case: The greater the curvature of the roots, the more challenging it is to treat and achieve the ideal result in endodontic therapy. Today, the technology of instruments has advanced significantly, and tools made from Nickel-Titanium alloys have been developed. These tools are highly flexible and can navigate even sharply curved root canals. The addition of thermal treatment to this alloy has further enhanced the properties of the tools, providing even greater flexibility and improved fracture resistance. To address this case, such instruments were primarily used to achieve the best possible result.
The case was treated in two sessions: In the first session, patency was achieved and a glidepath was created (#06 Micromega, #08, #10 Mani), followed by widening of the cervical third with One Flare. In the second session, 10/05 Hyflex was used (not at length), followed by Pathfiles #13, #16 in the distal and mesial lingual areas. Due to the direction and limited mouth opening, it was not possible to access the mesial buccal area. Subsequently, Smarttrack #17, #20, and #25/04 were used. The tooth was then filled with non-standardized cones and BC sealer.
